Tips on how to study. As the exam week comes nearer we might find ourselves feeling trapped on a dense forest. We feel that we need to get out of it as soon as we can. At the same time, we do not want to get hurt while trying to do so. It is the same with studying, we want to finish the exam with good grades. With this, let me share with you some tips on how to study.
First, a healthy attitude towards learning is very important. It is very hard to be motivated to do well in school if you have a negative view of learning. So with this, you should always think positively. Always view that studying is learning. If you have no interest with studying, how can you enjoy studying? Most students have low scores because of there negative view of studying. They think that there lessons are boring and irrelevant. If you think this way, change that belief now. Education is important and remember that. If it is not important why then do companies hire people who are educated.
Second, why not set a study plan each day, even maybe a week before the exam. You may keep a planning notebook on what you will study. Studying an hour before the examination. You can also make an outline or mnemonics of what you should study to aid your memory. Study plan will help you plan ahead what to subject to start. You can plan to study the most difficult subjects first or the easiest.
Third, choose the right study setting; it is better to select a comfortable place. After selecting a place, clear off the desk, face away from a window, and assemble the materials you need. This way, it is easier to concentrate. It is also advisable to make a schedule when to study. It can be in the afternoon, morning or night time. As for me, I do my study every afternoon before going to school. I am enrolled in the College of Law and all our subjects is from 5:30-8:30 pm.
Fourth, take breaks. You may stretch, take a walk, get a drink of water then go back and review your notes to get a fresh start on the subject. Or when studying, first survey the material, next make up questions based on the answers. Finally, see if you can recall what you've read.
